All our educational guided tours are interactive and loads of fun. Professional guides will show students how gold was found and mined, how to pan for gold, how to make mud bricks, they’ll see the working blacksmiths shop and working steam engines in the goldfields.
Our recreated Goldfields Village shows how people lived and worked and your students will experience our 1850s schoolhouse, and will be transported back in time so they’ll truly understand how life was in the goldfields. We have found that students really enjoy the hands on working exhibits and exploring our famous museum.
All the time students are under the care of mature friendly professional guides who will demonstrate and explain everything your students need to know about the importance of gold and its impact on early Australia.
Our world class observatory with giant optical telescope and computer simulated space tours will amaze and educate and are available in conjunction with the Gold Education Tours.
At the end of the day we have fun evening programs with entertainment and great food, colonial campfire singing, games and concerts under the mountain stars.
